One Day
This happened to the troubadour,
His passionate life gave way to plenty of amour
His bags full of gold, he wasn't poor,
He left all behind and started a worldly adventure,
Pockets full, no regrets, was his venture
Parties, friends, spending, not afraid of calenture
All went well and was great fun
Up to the moment he had no dime for a bun
His dwelling was now under the moon and sun
One day, in the night we was wide awake
Remembering the smell of his mother's cake
In his Homesick’ was a lot more at stake
Time to return, but where would he go?
Every ‘friend’ he met turned into foe
No place to rest his head even more so
Our dear friend sat down, his eyes closed
He forgot the miracle when he dosed
Suddenly he felt to Whom he was host
It was as if by lightning he was struck
The light in his experience now was his luck
His inspiration was no more stuck
The troubadour was reborn
No time wasted being forlorn
His poetry bright as a unicorn
From now on his words were true
His charitable actions had a clue
His innocent heart recognized by a few.
